Inclusive Education/Learning Support
At St Clare of Assisi Primary School, we are committed to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive. Our Classroom Support Team works in partnership with teachers, families, and students to provide tailored assistance that meets individual learning needs.
Targeted Support Programs
Support may be delivered:
- within the classroom
- in small groups
- one-on-one sessions
We use evidence-based programs such as:
- MiniLit and MacqLit for literacy intervention
- Spelling Mastery for structured spelling development
Student progress is monitored through standardised assessments to ensure support is effective and responsive.
Inclusive and Differentiated Learning
Classroom Support provisions are designed to:
- modify the core curriculum for students with learning difficulties
- provide appropriate extension opportunities for gifted learners
Our Classroom Support Teacher (CST) and Classroom Support Assistants (CSAs) work alongside classroom teachers to create inclusive environments where all students can access learning in ways that suit their individual strengths.
Personalised Plans
We value strong partnerships with families. Together, we develop Personalised Plans that:
- set clear, achievable goals
- outline strategies and adjustments
- support academic, social, and emotional wellbeing
These plans ensure that every child is supported across all areas of school life.
Celebrating Individual Differences
At St Clare of Assisi, we celebrate the unique qualities of every student. We believe learning is most successful when school and home work together. Through a collaborative and caring approach, we create an environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to achieve their best.
